Thanks, bogester, for the info. I didn't really know whether or not to keep the spoke protector--it looked original, stamped "Huret around the metal inside.
Good eye with the wheels too. The rear hub is high-flange, and I should have suspected that the front wasn't original. It has an Araya rim, and some illegible stamped hub make.
I do indeed have the plastic mudguards, with the rear one marked with the Raleigh insignia/logo. But it does have a fairly large chunk taken out of it. Also, it seems to be missing a screw that mounted it to the frame, and was instead held together with cheap wire.
Did your Gran Sport come with a kickstand, which you later took off?
As for the concerns that I'm going to part it out-definitely not!
If the complete (read: In one piece) bike doesn't have too much of a market value, I might was well just keep it around for fun/eye candy.
