They are sort of "period-correct" to the bike, which is actually older than the bars.
They were ok if you put something across them, but "did not inspire confidence under load," if you know what I mean.

I knew a machinist at DuPont in Grifton, NC and he took one look at those, made me a set that were better out of aluminum stock. Not many folks running around in 1985 with aero bars. I promptly tipped over a couple of times and gave them to a friend, who promptly won the NC TT championship using them.
