Well, yes, but that doesn't necessarily make them better bikes for commuting than many others. This is exactly what I mean by this being a marketing-created definition. This is a bunch of bike marketers getting together and saying, "This is what a bike for commuting
should look like." I disagree with them. In fact, this is one of my pet peeves.
