Here's the pic:
This trusty steed carries me 9 miles each way from upper Manhattan to my job in Midtown. I'm now not planning to buy a subway pass next month when the one I have now expires. My commute is a beautiful ride down the Hudson River with fantastic views of the sailboats moored in the river, the George Washington Bridge, and flashes of lower Manhattan. New Jersey, you're always there, too!
The bike:
2009 Salsa La Cruz
SRAM Rival 10 speed brifters, front der, rear der, crank (46/38), bottom bracket
XT hubs

Cane Creek Crosstop levers
Kalloy seatpost :-( send me your black Thomson Elite if you like, 27.2 mm please!
Crank Bros Candy pedals
Planet Bike fenders (gotta fix that gap down at the chainstay bridge)
Axiom Streamliner DLX rack
Hand-me-down Nashbar pannier
Bell
Lights coming soon...
