Of course, if you go to your LBS and pay for a professional fitting in order to make an informed purchase elsewhere that is different and appropriate. You have simply paid for one of the services they provide. Local bike stores are very customer oriented and helpful places that support the local economy through providing retail goods, jobs and a necessary service. Taking advantage of them by playing to their customer service leanings with the full intent of walking out and using the garnered, unpaid information to spend your money elsewhere is in very bad taste.

Correct me if I'm wrong on etiquette here, but unless you take up the salesperson's time, it is no harm.

Guys (Gals?)
Thanks for the input regarding etiquette/going into LBS for fitting for internet purchase (though I am not a child and really shouldn't have to spell out what I plan on saying and how I plan going about it, but apparently I do

.
I'm not a deceitful or sneaky person and plan on being upfront when I go into the shop for fitting. I've been going into this one shop for a while now (to flirt with this oh-so-smoking cutie), and though they don't have a large bike selection, they do have KHS Fite 100 I want to try out. I will be offering to pay them for their time and trouble.
Instead of trying to find some fault with my post, can someone please respond to my original request?

Can someone please find reference for the above quote?
Saying that Kilo TT frames are made in the same factory as KHS Flite 100 frames... doesn't necessarily mean that they are, in fact, the same frame.
In other words:
So many people in these forums claim that the BD bikes use the EXACT frames as more well known brands (Kilo TT = KHS Flite 100, etc.).
I say PROVE IT!
I have yet to find any source (other than Bikes Direct!)
Can someone please clarify?
MUCH THANKS!
(I am soooo excited to be back on two wheels! Now if only I could find the right bike!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!)
(been reading through these forums for several months now, long before actually joining, and am very impressed by the level of knowledge here and how quick people are to help. I think if people held true to their passion and love for riding and share it with others we could avoid these kind of "GOTCHA!"/finger pointing responses that detract from the wonderful dialogue of these forums.)
