I purchased a road bike back in 2004. There were very few choices for bikes made for women. After trying the three brands (Lemond, Bianchi?, Trek), I ended up with a Trek 2200.

The bike fits me well and I love it. If I had to replace it, I'd probably go for another Aluminum/105 class bike. It seems to be a good price point for quality vs lighter components.
