You can normally wait until they offer free shipping and they are pretty good about running sales like 10% or 20% off all orders over whatever amount. While most folks know I am a huge fan of LBS's, things like saddles tend to have outrageous mark ups. If your LBS cuts you a regular discount and the price comes within 25 bucks or so of what you can get it for online for then I'd say stick with/support your LBS. But, if they want to bang you out for an extra Grant then go online.
I just checked your recommendation out online. The saddle I just bought is listed on Bike Nashbar for $149.99, shipping is $10.99.
I went to my LBS and saved 98 cents.
The $100.00 saddle you are referring to is the standard B17. The one I bought was the B17 Special with copper rail and copper hammered rivets. I treated myself. I like the LBS guys. Online shopping is not always the best way to shop, nor is it always the best price.
