I recently obtained a Trek Handlebar Bag (280 cu. in. model):



I'm using it on a Trek Madone for longer day trips. I have no clue what to do with the straps and long elastic cord attachments. Picture doesn't show it, but there is a set on each side of the bag.

There was a pair of bolts/nuts included with the bag, too. There were no instructions included.

Can someone give me a hand? Do I just remove and ignore the dangling straps?
