Some are worried about traffic. I've contacted locals and they say we'll be fine. I may let local athorities know we'll be in the area, maybe they'll be more visable that day for us.

The summer of 2008 I did the same ride on my single. I heard about the dragon from a local bike shop in Knoxsville. I was visiting with relatives, and they thought I was out of my mind to do the ride. I did the ride on a Tuesday morning in July, off the Dragon and parkway before noon. The traffic wasn’t bad, and I had a great ride. I’m planning to do this ride next July on my Calfee tandem. As TG mentioned, there is no shortage of commercial photographers on this road during the summer. I bought a few photos from Killerboy and ZeePhoto. I also snagged a pretty cool pick of the Dragon map.
