The clamp band of campy record front derailleurs is integrated into the design of the derailleur. There is not a way to remove the derailleur body from the clamp and install as braze-on type derailleur. Look around, 2 weeks ago I bought a NIB Record 10sp QS FD (32mm clamp) for about $35 on ebay. There are deals out there.

Are you sure? I changed the clamp size on a Record by substituting the clamp from one of their less expensive derailleurs.
