I rode the Lighthouse Century in San Luis Obispo today, but not the 100-mile course because I haven't been able to train properly. I can't seem to get any midweek rides in once school starts - especially towards the beginning of the year.

Anyway, my bike computer just rolled over my age - 58 - as I rolled into the parking lot at the end. The official course distance is 62 miles so I guess I could claim that. Anyway.....

It's a worthy goal to ride my age but not that tough. I wonder how much longer that will be true. I know that I see lots of guys much older than me riding centuries. I hope I'll be like them in a couple of decades.
