Well, here's my commuter as of this week. Trying out my MTB after commuting on a roadbike.
Specialized Hardrock with Forte 26x1.25 slicks and a Topeak MTX rack.
Here's my new front wheel: Sun Ringle RPMLite radial laced. It's narrower and very light. I figure for street use only it should be fine. I have a Shimano XT rear hub and Mavic X221 rim I'll DIY for the rear. I'll then have the stock set for knobby weekend use.
