Continuing in my vein of holes in the ground, here are pictures from a trip to the
Picketwire Dinosaur trackway in southeastern Colorado
Purgatory River Canyon (aka Picketwire Canyon)

Petroglyphs along the trail. This is one of about 5 horned lizard features at this site

The reason I go down there. Sauropod tracks (likely apatosaurs) from 150 million years ago. A nice day on the beach. There are several parallel tracks to these two sets indicating herding behavior.
