Noticed this thread was on the second page.....wanted to get it going again. Here's one of my favorite spots on the Fall River in Rocky Mt. Natl. Park:

This thread is warming my heart on a fairly brutal winter day.

Great pictures... Beautiful...

I recently posted some Colorado shots on my website's photo page. Some of them are pretty nice.

Very cool photos, Robert! It would be nice if you posted a few right here in the thread......maybe give a few details on each photo? For example, I recognized your first shot...."pings-horns".....as the Wetterhorn, Matterhorn, and Uncompahgre area near Lake City. It would be interesting to know from what vantage point you took the shot (if you recall). Just a suggestion.....thanks for sharing regardless.

Not the typical Colorado high country pic but great riding anyway.

Reeder Mesa Rd. just south of Grand Junction on a very cold day a week or so ago.

Hmmmm....it was there last night. I'll try again.

PS

The problem seems to be with my host again as my....... dot com ........is not available at all. Every year in Dec. when they are suppose to auto-magically renew my domain name, I lose service until I contact them and get it straight. Time for a new host maybe.

Thanks ccd. Your photos are awesome. That horns shot was taken by my friend Robert Reid, unfortunately I wasn't there when he took it. He also took this one:

That was taken just below Wheeler Pass on the Copper Mtn. side after waiting out a lightning storm under a rock on the other side.

My wife C. took this one before the storm hit:

I snapped this one above Schofield Pass outside Crested Butte:

And this one is up on Mt. Crested Butte itself:

Robert

Very much enjoyed the MTB pics especially of Crested Butte. The trail above Schofield must be Trail 409? So nice. Here is another of CB from the Snodgrass Trail.

....and the Snodgrass Trail.

The rust colored things are either fungus or lichen (a symbiotic life form made of fungus and algae).

From where the mountains come up from the sea, and where the cycling is superb. The Oregon coast.
