Shogun Information
Hey guys/gals,
I recently picked up a Shogun frame/fork/handlebars from a friend of mine and am looking for some information. I'm planning on turning it into a singlespeed/fixie using a flip flop wheel for toolin around town.
Since it is just the frame/fork and no other components(or decals for that matter), I was hoping y'all would be able to give me some measurements so I know what parts to get for the build. ie, BB axle width, possible cranks to use, or any build suggestions in general. I already know it has 126mm dropouts, and I assume a 26.8 seatpost, but that's about all I know. I also assume it had 27" wheels, but again I am not sure.
I'm gonna try and test the front calipers and wheel from my modern roadie to see if it will accept the recessed mounting and if the brake pads will have enough adjustment for 700c wheels. For the rear wheel I'm not totally sure what I'll go with just yet, so any suggestions would be much appreciated if any of you have made this conversion.
Here's some actual specifics:
Serial # M3M06512
has a sticker on the seat tube that says Tange 900 cro-moly(if that can help determine the model)
Thanks in advance and any help would be HUGE. I'll try and snap a pic or two tonite if I have a chance.
Jay
