It can take a few tries to get the cable through my SRAM Attack trigger-shifters. I depress the shifter-trigger to make the most room and, twist the cable gently, thread it on through. These were/are much easier and nicer than the Shimano Deore trigger-shifters that the SRAM's replaced.
