Now that I can see the picture, I think it's a Puch Bergmeister. Pictures of them have been posted on this site in the past, but never a candy apple red one with copper plating as the base that I had. There was also a candy blue one. It was not a high end bike, but it had the most beautiful paint job I had ever seen. I think that someone removed the top coat with stripper. It would have no effect on the copper. Mine came from John's in Pasadena, CA. They also sold Steyr Clubmans and Capos.
