do you have a brake? i don't see how a fixed with a front brake is less safe then a freewheel? i think the you need to figure out how to flip the lockout on your perception...cause realistically..you can brake the same.. or better
I'm referring to when you get in bumpy terrain or around traffic (especially near curbs), etc. Maybe it's just me, but my instinct is to coast and get slightly out of the saddle when things get a little hairy...like when someone jumps out in front of you, for example.
