Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Have yet to suffer a serious injury while commuting although I have broadsided a car and been clipped by a truck mirror... mountain biking was a different story and my legs are a little road map of fun.

Xray from when a lady cut me off and I couldn't stop fast enough. but thankfully I stopped enough to not get run over and have two broken legs.
The other picture is from when I fell on some gravel. broke two teeth and had to get 10 stitches.

not nearly as gruesome as some here:
SUV left crossed me. I was hit hard enough to break the SUV's grill and head light. My shoes flew off. I was very lucky to land in some bushes.
just a lot of luck.

Commander, UFO Bike
Left Cross, after dark in a parking lot. I was using two MiNewt X2's (one helmet on low, one handlebar flashing), a TriNewt (handlebar, on low), and a Cateye EL400 (handlebar, on flash). Moron driver turned a fast left, and flung his cell phone or iPod off his seat and into the footwell. I shined my lights at him as he was halfway in my lane, and halfway in his, and he stopped. I was certain that he saw me, and since he was stopped, I proceeded straight. After determining that his electronic device was ok, driver did another sharp left to get into a parking spot, and dropped me on the hood.
I was X-Rayed that night, and they didn't see the fractures. They also couldn't see the torn MCL. Three weeks later, after much pain, they finaly bothered to do a MRI, and found:
Three days later, I found myself in the Orthopedist's office, and with a very clear threat of personal safety, I made sure he looked at my calf. And what did he find?....
In checking the original X-Rays, he found both breaks.
I was hit on 10/12/2008, I didn't receive settlement until 7/6/2009

There is an acute, nondisplaced laterial tibial plateau fracture identified. There is some fragmentaion at the level of the articular surface and subchondral region with a large amount of bony edema here as well. There is also associated bone edema involving the proximal fibula, though no fibular fracture is identified. There is a small joint effusion present with no Baker's cyst. There is a tear of the medial collateral ligament with diffuse thickening and increased signal involving the femoral insertional fibres compatible with a grade II injury... There is no meniscal tear.
In checking the original X-Rays, he found both breaks.

F---, thats a tough bite to chew... and worse - thats an example of a good outcome after a hit like that.
