Almost run down
I had to make a quick run to the local Metro station last night, to double-check the status of my metro card. Since I am going to a local bike summit today. I passed a local train crossing. A line of about ten vehicles headed the opposite direction, were waiting to cross the tracks for some reason when there was no trains in the immediate area. As I passed the first couple vehicles, having my headlight(https://www.niterider.com/rechargeabl...-cordless-new/) at the lowest setting(275 lumens for the short distance I was going), an SUV 'without their headlights on in the dark', suddenly pulled out of the line n' came at me. I so wish I had a camera to catch on video, what that jerk pulled. I was lucky I had room to pull off the road in time.

Glad everything turned out okay for you Chris. Like I always say "Gotta watch out for them because they may not be watching out for us."
The other night a friend and I were riding down a hill near my home. This person comes along in a SUV and right hooks us just a few feet ahead of us. I was riding my SS so I didn't have my camera on board.

I wonder how the guy in my incident, would have reacted, if I had set my light at flash mode. Thinking about it now, I probably should have set my headlight on flash mode, so he would have known someone was coming, even before he made his bonehead move.
