2009 Tarmac Pro SL BB question...
Hey everyone. Newbie to the forum here and have a question i hope someone can help me with. I was fortunate enough to inherit a 2009 Specialized Tarmac Pro SL frameset from a friend of mine. I currently ride a 2010 Allez Elite compact double with a Shimano 105 groupset and i want to swap as many of the parts as I can onto the Tarmac. My question is about the Tarmac BB. Specialized site just says "oversized BB" on the spec sheet. Can i use the shimano fc-r600 crankset and BB from the Allez? I'm reading some conflicting stuff out there re : what BB i need for the Tarmac...
thanks!
thanks!

Specialized made that frame with either a 68mm English or with a BB30 bottom bracket. The FC-R600 is availible for 68mm English or 70mm Italian bottom bracket but Specialized doesn't use Italian so your existing crank is English. If your frame does use BB30 there adapters availible from SRAM and FSA to let you use an English BB.

I just want to add that this frame was only availible in BB30 if it was purchased along with a BB30 crankset from Specialized. Frames purchased alone or as a complete bike not equiped with a BB30 crankset were only availible with an English BB.
