50/34 or 50/36 is compact. What size is your small ring? There's a question you can only ask on bikeforums

I think 53/39 is the standard (or most commonly used) two ring combo these days. Compacts are as cuzzy vette says.

I'm thinking 50/36 up front and a straight block on the back might be the hot setup.
Anyone got any opinions on that? |

compact cranks are for ******* ! HDT, I'd be surprised if you had anything but a 53/39 std.
