I have secret weapons - Access to a collection of International Cycle Sports - every edition bar one or two from 1968-1984, plus almost every Winning Magazine (including the first few editions) from 83-95!:D Plus I know a shi t load of blokes who rode Giros or Sixes in the 70's and 80's.

Eds definitely the late 80's through the 1990's guru though.

I think one of the T-Mobile guys was attempting to tow Kloden back up to the guys that went off the front, and Rogers was in that group who's also a T-Mobile guy.

The arguement is that they should've worked to slow the pack down to give Rogers a chance to break away further, but T-Mobile is so screwed up, they don't know who their best GC contender is. At that stage Kloden and Landis didn't look like they were going anywhere, so they should've let Rogers go.

Personally though, I think the problem is T-Mobile won't let a non-German lead them, and even if Rogers proves to be a better GC contender. Rogers was probably hired along with Kloden to tow Ulrich up hills, but the prob is that Kloden and Rogers are too close in ability that one isn't clearly a better GC prospect than the other.
