Mango Longboard FT3 Review
Well I decided to order one of the Mango Cruiser from bikes direct. Received the bike in 4 days, no damage and it went together in about 20 minutes. I did have to do a slight amount of truing to the front wheel, but with the 3.5" tires, I'm not sure it mattered.
My hands and shoulders feel so much better now that I am not leaning on them. Biggest changes for me have been getting used to the coaster brake and the big sweeping handle bars. It certainly does not have the agility of my old mountain bike, but much better than i expected, just different leaning back and turning.
The bike appears well made and the tig welds are pretty decent. The bike weighs about 33 pounds. Box said shipping weight said 30, but with me and the bike on the scale, about 33. My scale will not register the bike by itself.
It certainly gets comments on the big tires and bright orange paint cruising around St Augustine. Loose cobblestones, sand, up and down curbs, the fat tires and cushy seat soak most everything up. I like it better than my wifes Nirve. Negatives are the standard 3 speed comments that I believ it would be better suited with a smaller front gear, wish the 3speed was quieter in 2,3 and need to find some reasonably priced fenders! Very nice on the beach, I tried the sugar sand, but I am too old for that
The slight pedal forward is different, but you adjust to that pretty quickly.

Thanks for your review. I liked the Macaw model but for the same money or less I can pick up a Sun Bike out here on sale. Plus they don't ship APO. You have to go through a separate shipper which makes it more complicated than just buying local.
