Slipping coaster brake: HELP!

I have an 09 trek drift with an aftermarket rear wheel. The cranks want to slip sometimes before the wheel starts turning after I brake. It baffles the local bike shop guy. Today the cranks rotated 3 quarters of a turn before it would catch. Anybody have coaster brake issues like this?

1) Is your brake arm secured to the chainstay?
If not, try rotating the arm to tighten, then clamp the arm to the chainatay.

2) "Rebuild" the coaster brake and make sure it is properly greased.

3) A lot of "bicycle mechanics" at an LBS don't have a clue when it comes to coaster brakes, since they rarely see them.

I wasn't aware you could purchase rebuild kits for them. It has a lot of miles on it and it might be what I need.
