The squeak may be from the seals sliding on the stanchions, in which products made to lube the stanchions may solve the problem easily. However if the squeak is originating within the fork, then it's necessary to know the specific fork model, or at least the type, ie, spring, oil or air suspension.

Unless the fork as had all the decals removed, all MTB forks on the market have their brand, and model prominently displayed, Does it have them?
From the picture, it's a Marzocchi fork, which would indicate it's from 2004-2009 going by Bikepedia, although each year of the Vertex 30 used a different fork model.
As it's a bomber chassis fork, unless you want to pull it a part (and that's not hard), just get some silicone spray, and spray the seals to see it that stops the squeak.

The 2004 model matches you spec & decals, see here 2004 Rocky Mountain Vertex 30 - BikePedia
The forks are the EXR Comp model, put this into Google, and you have lots of info, MTBR is very good researching older forks like this, sa in this thread, which includes links to the service manuals Marzocchi EXR Comp- Mtbr.com.
With Bombers (the EXR are one of a lot of versions of this), there isn't too much to go wrong on them, the seals will wear out in time (the same as all MTB forks) but the basic design is solid, and easy to user service.

Oil the dry places, replace seals
1st Id get the tech manual ,
If I were You, the fork (If its as above ) not the framebrand, they just bought forks from elsewhere
may be a rebuild kit for that fork
alternatively Buy a New fork. get the Manual with the Next one, maybe the rebuild kit for Future Overhauls
stuff is discontinued and abandoned by Makers all the time as the new stuff is released ..
