2004 Giant TCR Bottom Bracket Click
Hello folks. I have a 2004 Giant TCR Aluminum with a clicking bottom bracket. It is worse under load, but if I spin the crank with no load I can hear it making slight grinding noises.
Examining as best I can (with no tools) shows: Campagnolo 1.370 x24 TPI. I guess (one of) my problems is that I don't know all the specs to buy a new one. And I can't find anything online on this particular bike.
Things I would very much appreciate help with:
- What BB do I need?
- What tools will I need to get the job done? I'm on a budget!
- Can I swap from the current crankset to an FSA compact with no issues?
THANK YOU!!!

Been researching this all day and it looks like I have a 109.5mm spindle, 68mm English BB.
I am confused as to what my options are for a compact crankset and new BB now though. There are plenty of cheap FSA cranksets on Ebay....but what am I looking for? Is the 68MM the measurement that matters?

Bikes: A little bit of everything. Notably old stuff and rare stuff.
If you are on a budget, it's probably best to keep things cheap and simple by just replacing it with an identical one. Make sure you watch a video or two, it can be easy to strip BB splines.
