Chain lubricant
I did a search and could not find any info, not sure what I did wrong but what chain lubricant to use has had to have been discussed on here. I just can't find it.
Suggestions on what lubricant to use for mainly road use?

Wait4me,
As you might expect that topic has been discussed more than a few times here. You'll get opinions ranging from butter and bacon grease to olive oil and lard with synthetic and petroleum lubes thrown in for good measure.
I actually don't mind these threads so I'll offer up what I use.
Road bikes: Squirt
Mountain bikes: Squirt more often

Now we're talking.
First I clean it with WD 40, then spray with white lithium grease.
I put a rag on the opposite side I'm spraying the wd40, then wipe chain using the same rag as I turn cranks backwards. Then get directly behind bike and turn cranks backwards as I spray the lithium grease making sure to get some on all the cogs. This helps insure the grease gets in the links. You're welcome.
P.S. This is definitely the best method period. Therefore this should be last post on this matter.

I like wax-based lubes, which require frequent application, but are recommended by Wippermann.
I didn't try them until I bought my first Wippermann stainless chain.
The wear on chains is contact stress, no rotating spindles, so a tenacious wax provides adequate lube for the service, and doesn't wet (i.e. pick up and hold) sand from the road like an oil would. They run clean, but do require reapplication every 100-200 mi.

Recently started using Rock N Roll absolute dry. It is a revelation of quiet smoothness. First application lasted ~400 miles.
