What BB tools do I need here?

I am about to strip and re-do this GT road bike. I want to remove the triple and install a black Octolink V1 compact double 53/39 Shimano 105 and a new BB. I am not very schooled on these BBs on this bike and not sure what I need:

Here is the bike, it has been fully stripped since this photo and most of the stuff on it is not going back on it:

Here is the crank now:

This is the new Octolink V1 BB set:

What tool numbers do I need from Parks? I want to keep the triple and use it on another bike I am working on, just not this one.

FYI, not that it's a problem: 53/39 is a standard double, not a compact. A standard double won't give you the hill-climbing gears you'd get with the smaller chainrings on a compact double or a triple.

I think your bike's currently got a Shimano FC-1057 crankset, which is square taper. An Allen key will take the bolt/dustcap off, and if it's not a self-extractor, then you'll need a crank arm remover to pull the crank arms. I'd suggest a Park Tool CWP-7 because it'll work on your old square taper crankset as well as Octalink cranks.

I think I see splines on the bottom bracket behind the crank spider. If that's the case, you'll need a Shimano-compatible splined bottom bracket tool like a Park Tool BBT-22 or BBT-32. Again, like the crank puller, these particular tools will work with your old square taper parts as well as Octalink so you can use these bottom bracket tools to install (and remove) your new crankset.

The 1057 does not have self extracting bolts. Those are just 8mm Allen head bolts and once they have been removed you will need the crank extractor noted above or similar.

The bottom bracket removal tool, assuming a Shimano cartridge, is the Park BBT-22 or BBT-32. They can also be used to install the Octalink replacement bottom bracket.

Cool, thanks. I had those tools. I have the BB out now and it was a square taper so used the CP22 to extract.

The screw that holds the cable guide on however is like welded in solid and the screw head popped off (steel in aluminum). So, I guess I will need to shave it down, center punch and then drill it out. Rats. But, the old BB is out clean. Looks good other than the guide retention screw issue.
