MTB shifter and derailleur matching
My Shimano SLX shifter has broken. My derailleur is also Shimano SLX but is working fine and I do not want to get rid of it. Does this limit me to another SLX shifter or can I go for a different Shimano shifter with the same number of speeds as I have my eye on a Shimano Saints shifter. Would this work with my current SLX derailleur or do I need to stick to an SLX shifter?
