I prefer the seperate levers for braking and shifting. I had Ultegra for a while, and hated the brake lever itself doubling as a a shift lever. I MUCH prefer the solid feel of the SRAM brake lever, and the independant double-tap shift lever. I'd probably like Campy too, but I spend enough on bike stuff as it is...

SRAM used to be on department store bikes.
And Shimano is on currently-sold Walmart bikes. So what?

I'd strip the hydro tiagra group on my road bike for a SRAM setup in a second.

Perhaps on road bikes. On mountain bikes Sram front derailers are far superior.
