386Evo BB - BB30 Crankset

Hi, I'll be getting an Open U.P. later this month, and I need help on deciding which bottom bracket to get for it.

I've got a BB30 Quarq DZero which I want to use with the frame, and according to Quarq's site, the BB30 model ships with the spacers and washers needed for a BB386Evo.

Can anyone help a newb out and point me in the direction of what kind of bottom bracket I need to fit my Quarq to an Open U.P?

I don't have experience with this combo, but I would think any BB386EVO BB would work. That being said, I think the alloy "screw together" style such as Wheels Manufacturing is the best bet for eliminating creaking. AFAIK, BB386EVO is just PF30 in a wider (86.5mm) shell. You need a longer crank spindle of course to match, which I guess the SRAM/Quarq is.

Bikes: Too many. Giant Trance X 29, Surly Midnight Special get the most time.

Yeah, any BB386EVO, which is the same as PF30 except the width.

Yes! Those look really nice, I've found one from them labelled "Wheels Manufacturing 386EVO Bottom Bracket - ABEC-3 - PF46-86.5-30" (Can't post a link). Which looks to be just what I am looking for. For 86.5mm wide BB shell and 30mm crank spindles.

Yep, they are, luckily!
