Broken lock
I can’t get the lock off my bike. It’s locked to my bannister in front of my house and lock won’t come off.
I YouTubed the problem and found that compressed air and a hammer will do the trick but all that did was ruin my paint and dent my frame.
What’s the bike forums wisdom say about that problem?

I volunteer at my local bike co-op, whenever someone brings their bike in after loosing their keys to their lock, we go straight for the angle grinder.
One thing to note, is that if your lock shackle has a plastic coating or sleeve on it, is to cut that back with a knife first. Exposing the bar steel makes the process much easier. Wear eye protections, there will be sparks.
