Replacing the rim, reusing the hub and spokes?
my yoeleo rear carbon rim is done. I'm thinking about reusing the hub, and some of the spokes. I think they're sapim cx, but will go to the shop to find out for sure. Anyway, they're 50 mm deep clinchers, and from what I've seen, they all have the same ERD 541 +/- 1 mm, which I think gives me enough margin of error to just get another rim of the same ERD, and build me a new rear wheel. I'll replace the spokes that have deformed from twisting, and keep the ones that aren't deformed. I'll also replace the nipples, because those are cheap. They're going to be race only wheels, so I'm definitely not going to abuse them like the last owner did. I just don't want to invest in a new set of carbon wheels, when I plan my next bike on having disc brakes. what do you think?

How do CXray spokes get twisted? Somebody didn't know what they were doing. If any spokes are bad, replace all of the spokes, why be foolish to save a buck.

Some of the spokes on the drive side were very tight and it looks like the nipple might have seized against the spoke, causing turning of the nipple to twist the spoke. I threw out all the ones that look even slightly bent

If the new rim takes the exact same spokes then just tape the new rim to the old one and transfer the spokes over one by one. It's easy.

There is a tendancy to regard used spokes as somehow suspect, but if the spokes would have been good enough to keep riding the old wheel, they are good enough to use in a rebuilt wheel. I can only assume that the attitude that used spokes shouldn't be reused at all comes from a time when spoke quality was poor or spokes were cheap.
Taping the rims together and swapping is very easy.

At somewhere around $3 per spoke I'd reuse as many as possible.
