Will This Tire Fit on This Rim?

I'm going to be purchasing Bafang 500w front electric kit that comes with a rim stating that it will fit a tire 1.5" to 2.25" (second photo in the link below)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N3Y2HPG...v_ov_lig_dp_it

After doing a lot of research on tires I would like to purchase SCHWALBE - Big Apple Hybrid and Touring Wire Clincher Bike Tire but it is 2.35" wide. They do offer the same tire in a 2.15" width but this electric kit is going on a 7 foot long cargo bike and I would really prefer the 2.35" size. Is it ok to mount a 2.35" on that rim?

Bikes: '83 univega gran turismo x2, '85 schwinn super le tour,'89 miyata triple cross, '91 GT tequesta, '90 yokota grizzly peak, '94 GT backwoods, '95'ish scott tampico, '98 bonty privateer, '93 mongoose crossway 625, '98 parkpre ariel, 2k'ish giant fcr3

it's a 25mm external width rim. the 2.35 tire will be just fine. it's quite the common combo

+1 but also check if there is enough tire clearance with the frame and fork which will almost certainly not be a problem for cargo bikes but give it a quick look to be sure.

whatever you've decided, but those are just "recommendations".
just trying to say if you had your heart set on the fat tires, it will not be a problem. people ran 2.3's on 24 and 25mm (external width) rims for years (even loading touring) before the wide rim trend even showed up. the recommendation for them is only considered the ideal, not the law
