If you ride a bike you should never have to buy another bungee cord

i have never bought a black rubber bungee cord.

i did buy a package of the large cloth covered ones once... about 40 years ago.

i bought a pair of M/C tie downs in 1987
then i went to work at the Washougal MX Park... the racers forget them after washing their bikes off, and leave them dangling from the fences.. rainy events were the most lucrative.
i still have a milk crate full of them, and a half dozen hanging in the garage for quick access.
the best finds from there are the bike stand/stool (my step stool in the house now), and a folding chair with the canvas seat and back.. the cool kind that snap-folds toward the Middle. that chair goes on my camping trips, and is a spare in the house.

Got this bike for 5$ and just can't let it go. Dropouts were spaced too wide and there was wiggle room for the axle making it difficult to mount the wheel straight. this worked well to align the dropouts and reduce the spacing to 135mm and it's been surprisingly solid.

Seems like a lot of work to correct axle spacing. Could have just added washers to both side either between frame and lock nut or between lock nut & cone. Just saying.
