Front Derailleur Clamp Torgue Carbon frame

I'm doing my first carbon build with a 2017 Raleigh Clubman carbon frameset. I searched around and couldn't find an answer for certain. I assume the clamp torque is the same regardless of frame material, but wanted to confirm. 5-7NM is fine on a carbon frame? I would hope they would build the frames to handle the recommended specs for the derailleur, but just wanted to check.

that's about the same torque as used on a seat post clamp.
seems appropriate... if you're worried, just use a lower spec. of 4nm, then add a bit if the der. slips down during use.

Too, I'd be checking the OD of the down tube onto which the dr clamp's to be affixed, and that said clamp's a proper match for that OD.

May even want to put a smidge of carbon assembly paste on the contact surfaces of said clamp before installation.

Agree with the above comments about torque. Clamp on derailleurs almost always do fine with just the minimum of recommended torque, only increase if necessary.

sadly, i see so many tightened until the bolt quits turning it's scary...and i've found many so tight the gap vanishes between the clamp halves, or the band breaks.

most new CF bikes use a mount plate affixed to the frame now, right? even my aging Fuji CF bike uses one.
i don't see many new CF bikes in this shop.. mostly older MTBs and BMX bikes.

just tore down a rear wheel yesterday that had Every Nipple rounded out, except two, and one spoke finally broke from the intense overloading... the rim went outward about 3/8" right where that spoke failed... "can you straighten this rim out?" i sold him a new/used wheel... it all started with a tiny out-of-true, and some bad advice from his "buddy".....
