On a wheel laced one-cross, should the leading spokes cross under the trailing spokes or over? My friend has a front wheel built by a company where the leading spokes cross over the trailing spokes, and it seems wrong, from what I've learned about wheel building.

It really doesn't matter.
Especially for a front wheel......we are talking about a front wheel, right.

I think DannoXYZ was talking about interlacing the spokes.

Let's rephrase: Who thinks the outside spokes should be on the inside when they cross (and vice-versa)?

With 1x lacing, the crossover point is really close to the flange and it makes the spoke have to bend a lot if you have them interlaced. Supposedly this is what contributes to lateral rigidity of the wheel.

Personally, I like the crows-foot lacing the most.
