Noob stem qu.
Hi,
Im sorry if this has been covered a gazillion times but I tried a search.
Standing to the side of my bike with the front brake applied and both hands on the grips it is possible to rock the bike backwards and forwards alarmingly due to play in the stem area I think.
Can anyone give me any advice please on how to sort this.

I have no such book and so I was wondering if help was available on this forum.
I also notice that there seem to be threaded and non-threaded stems. How do I tell whcih one my bike has?

2. There are two quite different headset styles. The adjustments are done completely differently. Can you post a photo or at lease describe, in detail, what your stem looks like?

Thanks everyone

Ihave looked at Parktool and I reckon that it is of the more modern threadless type. The bike belongs to my girl and its a British Eagle MTB.
