Phantom Shifting
Not much of a bike mechanic, but think this should probably be something simple. My bike seems to be shifting on its own lately on the rear rings. The bike is new and only has 250 miles on it. Seems like when I am on the small ring is when this happens most. Particularly when I am hitting it hard or going up hill. Is this a problem with the rear derailleur? All help greatly appreciated.

"They" said to put a little grease in the guides under the bottom bracket.
It seemed to solve that problem for me one time. But then again, I was a total noob back then. Could not adjust a derailleur to save my life. But I have continued the practice anyhow.
