shock question

i just got a new schwinn homegrown bike and sometimes when i go over small bumps, the shock will click (sounds like its topping out)..

any ideas?

Are you sure it's the shock? Also what kind of shock does it have? My bike make a clicking sound on small bumps like you describe and I swore it was the headset. Turned out to be the seatpost! I noticed when I stood up it quit. DG

naw.. i just spent a couple hunderd bucks on my old bike for a sound that was 3 sets of bad pedals..

this is definately from the shock..

its a manitau mars super (2001)

Try checking www.angryasian.com, he's got a great site on shocks. Sounds like a minor adjustment to keep the fork from rebounding too fast, but it's to late for me to remember what would need adjusting.
