Should I worry about rusting bolts ?

Well the title says it all, The bike is 2 years old and fine only the bolts are becoming red on the outside of them, so is this a reason to replace them/ or grease them or to do anything about them ?

Thanks in advance

A little surface rust on the bolt heads is common (esp. if you store it outside). I doubt there is a structural/safety issue. I put a light coat of grease on them just to keep them pretty.

i hate it when those new shiny surfaces turn to rust, but i have some bikes that did it in the first few weeks and the bolts are still there working fine , and the bike i rode today is 17 years old

Unfortunately with allen heads it's the nature of the beast. The recessed heads hold moisture very well and as you know that's a breeding ground for rust. You could put a dab of grease in them, or do like I do and hit it with a little bit of Boeshield.

Nope. I put a drop of chain lube on them.
