bike popping sound
Heres a weird one.
Everyday I ride to work. Its cold outside and I bring my bike into my office with me. My bike sits about 7-8 feet away from me. After 3-5 minutes of the bike just sitting there, if faithfully emits a single pop-click noise...almost everyday. I imagine that it has something to do with the bike warming up, but i just can't figure out what it is. The bike is a minimalistic fixed gear, so there's no fancy componentry on it. The only accessories are a front brake, headlight, rear blinkie and a couple of bottle cages. I keep very good care of it...nothings neglected and everythings relatively clean and in good shape, including the spokes being properly tensioned etc. Any hypotheses?

I would expect that it is nothing more than expanding metal as it warms in your office, assuming you don't hear the same noise in the summer. I wouldn't be too worried about it, as long as the noise isn't REALLY loud.

Has anyone asked you to carry their bike for them? Has your bike always been in your possession? Has anyone asked you to carry anything on your bike?
p.s.,
I am betting on the spokes expanding

Reading that makes me laugh. One time I was coming back from Ukraine and in Amsterdam they started asking me those questions. Has anyone carried your luggage for you? Yes an interperter, taxi driver, and a person on a train. Has your luggage always been in you possesion. No. Whenever I went to the bathroom on the train there was three other people in my compartment that had access to it. I was ill at the time and expecting to get pulled aside and body cavity searched. They woulde have been in for a rude awakening
