Speedplay Conversion X - Zero?
I use speedplay zeros on two bikes, but I only have one set, so I have to swap them back and forth - which is a pain. I have a set of speedplay x's that I don't use and I was wondering if I could install the zero type reciever on the x's spindles. I have never disassembled them so I don't know if there are differences in the spindles. Just wondered if anyone has ever done this, or if the parts are available.

Call Speedplay directly ( 800-468-6694) for a definitive answer. They are much better at answering the phone then they are at replying to e-mails.
My guess is that it won't work or will be so expensive that buying a new set of pedals will be more attractive. I know rebuild kits for my Frogs (bearings and outer plates) were priced high so that buying new ones (which included another set of cleats) was the better choice.
