BB on Bianchi Veloce ~85

Hey, I wanted to know if any of you had some experience taking out bottom brackets from older Bianchis.

I got a Bianchi Veloce circa 85 that I'm having huge troubles removing the bottom bracket from. It says it was "made in italy" but I don't know if Bianchi was using an English thread or Italian thread. I tried going clockwise on the fixed cup, I even striked the fixed cup tool with a hammer about 8 times, the thing didn't budge. I did not try using any rust breaking agent because after it wasn't moving I figured I might have already done some damage and was worried about moving forward. Am I SOL? I'm worried I might have just ruined the threads on the BB. Anyways let me know if any of you have any experience with older bianchi bottom brackets...

BTW, the rest of bike and bottom bracket is all Campy. The Bottom bracket width was 68mm if that matters.

68mm is English. The fixed cup is left-hand threads. If you have a vice you can lock the fixed cup in it and use the frame for leverage.
