Fox float R

I have got a Specialized FSR Stumpjumper with a Fox Float R rear shock which has developed about 5mm of free travel before the shock starts working; I can push the saddle down with my hand and the shock moves with very little resistance for the first 5mm, it does spring back though. Has anyone seen this before - is my shock broken?

air sleeve service. sounds like air is leaking past the negative and positive chambers. i would also rule out worn suspension pivots first

Thanks, I replaced all of the suspension pivot bearings a couple of months ago; I will do the air sleeve service and see if it cures it.
