changing frames
I am in the process of getting a replacement frame and wondered if anyone can tell me about bottom bracket compatability. I intend to put all my current equipment all onto a new frame and wondered if the bottom bracket is specific to my crank set or to my frame. I am making sure that seat post , steerer tube , dropout , and BB thread size are all ok but cant seem to find out if my new frame will want a different length of BB or wether it is particular to my crank set. Any help would be much appreciated. Nick

Nick, Just mock up the BB and RHS crankset on the new frame to check for chainline and chainring/chainstay clearance. If a change is needed you'll know exactly by how much.

There are a few different bottom bracket standards. It'd be helpful to know which frame you're going from and to.
