Chain compatibility

I have an Ultegra chain with my 105 5700 triple set-up.
Would a 105 chain be better?

Thanks,

Peter

The Ultegra chain is a higher grade chain than the 105 but doubt you'd notice any difference either way.

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

These chains differ only in cost, surface finish and possibly a slight weight advantage to the Ultegra. Otherwise they are inter-chain-gable. (sorry, couldn't resist)

Does anybody have any comments regarding differences between HG50 and HG70 chains?

Happy you were amused!

Anyway, the various HG chain levels also vary in cost, surface finish and maybe a little in material quality and durability but all perform the same.
