Fixing A Bontrager Computer

My Trip 2 computer quit working today. The clock works and my odometer has 70 miles on it but nothing else works as it won't recognize the small piece on the spoke and give speed or calculate miles. I've fiddled with it and even talked to my LBS who said it may be a bad battery or it's not aligned right and bring it up.

LBS is 20 miles away and don't feel like hauling it up if it's just an easy fix. If not, I'll haul it up in a day or two.

Thanks!

It happened to me, it only gave me speed and info sometimes... I changed the battery and voilá! Does the sensor has a battery indicator?

I don't think so. I put my son's computer on and it won't work either. I'll just take it up. Is there a better computer out there?

Per the instruction manual, if the current speed is missing, change the battery in the wireless sensor unit.
