How to Front fork?
Hey everybody!
No, it's not Doctor Nick. I recently got an old Fuji Folding Bike...a picture of it can be seen below:

For some reason, it's built with no suspension and I would like to change that. So I'm asking you guys, what dimensions do I need to measure and follow to get a new front fork with shox? Is there anything else I should find out other than those specs?
Thanks in advance.

the steering column need to match the headset , it look like a 1 " threaded headset. you need to measure the length of the old steering column so the new one can match with the old one to fit.

Would suspect that to replace the fork would cost similar to buying a complete bike with a suspension fork, if you are going to get one for your bike, follow bikeman715's advice for the fit

The kind of riding a suspension fork suggests will likely damage the frame
as the hinges are a weak point in any folding setup.
I'd just look for an additional Bike.. retail on a suspension fork,
is really close to just buying a whole bike with one.
For a bit more $ Dahon has an MTB made with Richey Break Away Frame
separation fittings .
They paid the fee for the licensed patent design , rather than just copied it.
if the fold or come apart to go in a small package thing is important.

@jimc101: I can get a front fork with shox on craigslist for like 20 bucks.
@fietsbob: The frame is Hi-Ten Steel and the bike weighs 25 pounds...it's a tank. How will a fork that lessens the strain on the bike damage it more?
